The “Golden Boy” award nominees were announced in mid-June by Tuttosport. A hundred young talents were on the list, and initially, three Bayern Munich players were on that list — Jamal Musiala, Tanguy Nianzou, and Alex Timossi Andersson.

Now, the list has been updated, per AZ, and 20 players were left out. One of those players was Andersson. So Bayern Munich has two youngsters among the last 80.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport established the “Golden Boy” award back in 2003, and journalists get to vote and decide on one player that made the most impact in the previous footballing season.

This year there are a couple of already well-known players, besides Bayern’s Musiala and Nianzou. There are a couple of players which you may remember from Bundesliga, such as Gio Reyna, Florian Wirtz, and Jude Bellingham.

From Premier League we have Mason Greenwood and Bukayo Saka. From League 1 we have a hot prospect, who is also linked with a potential move to Bayern Munich — Eduardo Camavinga. And finally, we have Pedri, from La Liga.

Last year, Erling Haaland took the award — who will win it this year?
