Barca wanted Lahm (Tz)

Once upon a time, FC Barcelona wanted to bring in Bayern Munich legend Philipp Lahm:

“Once I actually dealt with it more specifically,” Lahm told Sport Bild (as captured by Tz). “It would have been FC Barcelona, number one in Europe at the time. But then I decided to stay with Munich. With Barcelona I might have won the Champions League more often, but it was important to me to do it with my club. I would have blamed myself for it all my life if I’d left and Bayern at some point would have won the Champions League during this time without me.”
