This morning Germany released their Olympic home kits and Adidas has gone with a very unique design this time around. The red shirt is overtaken by a giant eagle across the chest. The eagle is of course is Germany’s long standing national animal. This eagle takes up most of the front side.

Other major features include an Eagle emblem on the right sleeve. On top of the bold “Germany” text in the middle, the newly released kit also includes the Olympic logo as well as Germany’s branding of “Team D”. Team D or Team Deutschland is simply the name of the German Olympic team. As for the back side, we cannot tell the appearance until further photos are released.
According to the bookies, Germany is said to have the fifth-best chance (+450) at taking home gold in Tokyo. Considering the rough times the national team has been through over the past five years, an expected top five is stronger than some might have expected.
What are your thoughts on these kits? What are you hoping to see for the away shirts?
