Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann comments on Robert Lewandowski’s transfer rumors

Julian Nagelsmann is not concerned with rumors surrounding Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has heard the noise surrounding star striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international has recently seen his name attached to numerous transfer rumors, but the new manager is not concerned that Lewandowski will bolt from Bavaria.

“The rumors about Robert Lewandowski have been around for ages, I think since he joined Bayern. But when someone scores so many goals, it’s normal that every club would inquire about him,” Nagelsmann told Sky (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I spoke to him and texted him. I’m not a big fan of contracts and rumors being my first topic of discussion with my new players, but I’ll do that in a face to face conversation when he’s here.”

Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi is likely positioning his client for a contract extension with Bayern Munich and in an effort to kickstart negotiations, there is little doubt that Zahavi is stoking the transfer fires behind the scenes.
