One of last weekend’s big stories was that Bayern Munich — and new boss Julian Nagelsmann — were big fans of Juventus forward Federico Chiesa.
The Bavarians, however, were not the only club that would be interested in bringing in the Fiorentina-loanee (yup, Chiesa is technically on loan from Fiorentina even if Juventus has no intention of letting him return). Chelsea is now in the mix for a player that Juventus has already said it will not let go:
TRUE ✅ @ChelseaFC has asked @juventusfc for a transfer of @federicochiesa. offered basis for negotiation: 100 mio €. Juventus has declined talks

Chiesa, of course, had a phenomenal run in the European Championships and has just about about every quality that would make him appealing to just about every club in the works. Fast, skilled, technically excellent, and with a drive and desire to score, Chiesa looks like a prototypical winger for today’s game.
Juventus might not want to let Chiesa go, but will the Italian club be able to resist a nine-figure offer from the deep pockets of Chelsea?
Chelsea, of course, is also chasing Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and will reportedly offer somewhere between €150 million and €175 million for the Norwegian.
