Bayern Munich’s team manager Kathleen Krüger is now officially a mom!
Per a report from Bild, the 36-year-old’s baby was born three weeks ago, apparently a beautiful baby boy. The news of Krüger’s pregnancy had been known for quite some time, and she had left the team for her maternity leave following the team’s final match of the season, the 5-2 home win over Augsburg.
However, Krüger’s absence will not be long, as she plans to return to FC Bayern in January. Krüger was recently promoted to “department head”, according to Bild. Her work will apparently be more strategic from now on, in that she can miss a few games to be with her family. Krüger’s job entailed travel planning, team organization, equipment management, and more.
It has been quite evident that Krüger and her efforts have been very much appreciated by the team, players and staff alike. Whenever she does decide to return, be it January or sometime else, she will surely be welcomed back with open arms.
At the moment, though, here’s hoping that Kathy enjoys her maternity leave with her partner and her new son!
