As Bayern Munich fans gear up to welcome their fifth new coach since 2017, one star is already looking forward to the challenge. Thomas Muller, who was one of the main figures in Hansi Flick’s previous regime, says he’s ready to prove himself all over again to new coach Julian Nagelsmann.
“There is a new coach at FC Bayern, which is always a new challenge for me as an old hand,” said the Raumdetuer (via Abendzeitung). “You get to know new things and new people, and you have to prove yourself again and again in order to meet the highest goals at FC Bayern.”
Muller also hints at possible changes in Bayern’s style of play, saying: “The new details and what they change in the team structure always bring out interesting constellations, I’m just looking forward to that.”
For now though, the 31-year-old will be enjoying a vacation after a difficult Euros campaign with Germany. He aims to be in top physical form before the start of next season, so he can give it his all for the new coach. How can you not love this guy?
