Bayern Munich center-back Niklas Süle is big tall, fast, and has all the physical and mental attributes that one could want in a defender.
Still, there is something holding the big man back from reaching his potential — and one of his former bosses, Jupp Heynckes, thinks adjusting his lifestyle will be advantageous for the 25-year-old.
“Niklas Süle, for example, if he works professionally and adjusts his lifestyle to his job, he would be a top-class center-back. He can take (Robert) Lewandowski or (Joshua) Kimmich as an example,” said Heynckes to kicker (as captured by Sport Bild).
Süle, of course, has reportedly had bouts with maintaining the proper level of fitness and has also been criticized by some in the German media for his alleged weight issues. None of that, however, has stopped Süle from being an attractive transfer target to Chelsea FC.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel recognizes Süle raw talent and physical tools. There no doubt that the German manager would love to get his hands on Süle to be part of Chelsea’s backline.
