Julian Naglesmann wants to bring in names such as Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig or Euro 2020 star Federico Chiesa from Juventus. However, these transfers would not happen unless Bayern Munich is able to sell some of its players.
The club is satisfied with the squad’s current strength and was very strategic in their one transfer of the summer. This of course was the signing of Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano. “We did our homework early on, including signing Upamecano. Our squad is very well positioned at the moment... The Champions League victory is achievable with our squad.” said CEO Oliver Kahn. Bayern signed Upamecano for a large sum of €42 million, but there are great expectations for the French defender. Surely, Nagelsmann will be able to get the most out of the Frenchman.
Niklas Süle (25)
Chelsea have reported interest in the German for quite some time, but no negotiation talk has been concrete. Bayern Munich has made it clear that they would sell Süle, should the right offer be made. Süle wants to speak to new coach Julian Nagelsmann after he returns from his vacation. Both have already worked together with success at Hoffenheim. Süle will want to know what the coach has planned for him this season.
Corentin Tolisso (26)
Tolisso has struggled with injuries and his infrequencies in play, make it hard for the Frenchman to find a groove and chemistry with the squad. Tolisso has been rumored heavily to leave over the past years and there is certainly interest from other clubs. Tolisso has played just 31 games for Bayern in the Bundesliga over the past 3 seasons. Tolisso has a market value of €20 million currently and would be a nice cash-in for the club.
Kingsley Coman (25)
Coman wants a serious pay raise from the Bavarians. It’s unlikely that the club will give him what he demands, but his contract runs until 2023, so there is not a huge rush. That being said, Bayern is said to be willing to sell the winger for an offer between €70 million and €90 million.
Michaël Cuisance (21)
The young Frenchman has returned from a loan with Olympique Marseille and wants to prove himself under a new manager. However, there is significant competition in the center midfield, so Bayern would let Cuisance go with a reasonable offer.
Bouna Sarr (29)
Yet another French player who Bayern might sell. Sarr has disappointed at Bayern yet he earns good money and is contracted until 2024. It would be difficult to find a buyer, but certainly ideal for Sarr to drop his contract. If sold, Bayern would invest the money in a new right-back.
Who would you like to see sold this summer? Who would you like Bayern to keep?
