Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has not always been the most personable fella.
And maybe — at times — he’s shown some unbecoming behavior toward the club or toward his teammates. Over the past three seasons, however, Lewandowski has gone from a bit gruff to incredibly open, honest, forthcoming...and real.
While on vacation in Sardegna, Italy, the Polish Hitman took some time to kick the ball around with some kids in the street:

Of course, after a while the current “Greatest Footballer on the Planet” drew a crowd. While many people at that level of stardom would have high-tailed it away, Lewandowski seemed to enjoy the interaction.
It is hard to think Lewandowski would have relished a moment like this back in 2018, but give credit to a footballer just living his best life — and allowing some kids to live out what had to be a surreal moment.
It’s a small gesture, but one that many of the people there will never forget — and also one they will recall in stories for years to come.
Good on you Robert Lewandowski.
