According to a report by the Evening Standard, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is keep to stay at his current club, despite interest from Bayern Munich this summer. It’s a story we’ve heard before, that the young Englishman wants to work his way into the starting XI.
Will this stop Bayern’s interest? Probably not. Brazzo wants this guy, and he’s young enough for the club to keep making repeated attempts to sign him. Will Chelsea definitely hang onto him now? Yes, but it’s not that clear-cut. With the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, and more, the Blues have an abundance of attacking talent that makes CHO’s chances of breaking into the starting XI pretty poor.
If Chelsea want to make reinforcements, selling Hudson-Odoi would be one way to raise money. However, Bayern are obviously unlikely to pay a big fee for him, so if the player doesn’t fancy a move, this transfer isn’t going to happen. Still, this isn’t a shut case as of yet. Callum Hudson-Odoi has another three years left on his deal with Chelsea — this transfer saga could go on at least that long.
