Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez have a good relationship and are currently spending a fair amount of time together now as teammates for France.
According to Mbappe, however, Hernandez recently took off his “teammate hat” and swapped it out for a “recruiter hat” as he tried to convince the 22-year-old to make a move to Bayern Munich.
“Lucas told me that I should come to Munich to play for Bayern,” said Mbappe to Sport Bild (as captured by Abendzeitung). “In football, you never know what is going to happen. But I’m currently very happy the way things are.”
Despite a less-than-enthusiastic outlook at moving to Bavaria, Mbappe did say he admires the way Bayern Munich is run as a club.
“Bayern are among the five best clubs in the world,” said Mbappe. “One can only congratulate them on how they manage to maintain the quality in the squad every year. They just know what they’re doing.”
