Injury Round-up: Mats Hummels and Lukas Klostermann return to Germany; Leon Goretzka still trains individually

Things are getting better for Germany...sort of.

Germany’s injury situation improved a bit on Saturday.

Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels and RB Leipzig standout Lukas Klostermann returned to team training, but Bayern Munich Leon Goretzka is still feeling the lingering effects of his muscle tear.

Goretzka was forced to train individually once more and will almost certainly miss Monday’s match against Latvia. Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala has recovered from his hip injury and has taken part in team training over the past few days:

Update: @leongoretzka_ works in the fitness tent. Hummels is trying it out. Klostermann is also back in. @SPORT1

Fit for the dress rehearsal! #FCBayern —Jewel Jamal #Musiala has completely cured his hip problems, has been training fully for the last few days and can go to Düsseldorf on Monday for the #DFB — Eleven against Latvia.#EURO2020 @kessler_philipp

Surely, the injury news is getting better, but Goretzka’s status remains a concern. The midfielder should be in line for a key role within the squad — if he can get healthy.
