With Werder Bremen headed to 2. Bundesliga, Milot Rashica might be looking for a new home — and Bayern Munich could be one of the clubs looking to oblige the 24-year-old.
Per a report from Kosovar TV broadcaster “RTK” (as captured by Bild), Rashica has a release clause of €15 million, which could be negotiated down and Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt are interested:
A rather wild rumor. Because Rashica experienced (once again) a season to forget, relegated to the second division with Werder. Again and again injuries slowed him down. The winger was rarely able to convince, only scoring a measly three goals this season.
But one thing is clear: After Douglas Costa (30) left for Brazil, Bayern is still looking for a backup for the wing stars Kingsley Coman (24), Leroy Sané (25) and Serge Gnabry (25). However, the position is not the top priority — and Bavaria does not want to spend a double-digit million sum on it.
Interestingly, Bild noted that Julian Nagelsmann once wanted to bring Rashica to RB Leipzig. More, Nagelsmann’s ability to bring out the best in his players could help Rashica get back into the form that once made him one of the Bundesliga’s top young players.
Still, Bild said that any potential move to Bayern Munich would be categorized as a “surprise” at this stage.
The trump card for the Bavarians, though, could be the stalled contract negotiations between the club and Coman. If Bayern Munich decides an agreement cannot be reached and that this summer is the time to sell Coman, a deal for the speedy and creative Rashica — at a discounted rate — could potentially be of interest.
Would you be interested in Rashica moving to Bavaria for €10 million or less if Bayern Munich can negotiate a deal?
