In game-changing news for the sport, UEFA and DAZN have announced a four year contract to broadcast the UEFA Women's Champions League globally except for the Middle East and China.

The other huge news coming out of this announcement is that DAZN and YouTube will be broadcasting every match from the Group Stage through the Final FOR FREE on YouTube. Years three and four will see most of the games shifting to DAZN's streaming platform with 19 games showing for free on YouTube.

“DAZN is thrilled to be the new global broadcaster for UEFA Women’s Champions League and cannot wait to work with YouTube and Google to bring fans closer to the game and shine a brighter light on its stars than ever before,” DAZN co-CEO James Rushton said. “Overnight, this will make the best women’s football easier to watch around the world than ever before.”

Traditionally, UEFA hasn't centralized the rights for the UWCL except for the Final, forcing a scramble from clubs by themselves to get they're games out through television or streaming.

Last season, Bayern Munich lifted the Bundesliga title, ending Wolfsburg's reign. On the European stage, Barcelona won the UWCL topping Chelsea.
