Kingsley Coman suffered an injury late in yesterday’s match between France and Switzerland. The Bayern Munich winger had a good game and even came close to scoring the match-winner, but luck wasn’t on his side.

Coman came in at half-time as a sub for Clement Lenglet, but he, unfortunately, had to be subbed off in the 111th minute for Marcus Thuram.

At the first extra-time break, we could see Deschamps and Coman exchanging a couple of words. And just after a couple of minutes, the discussion became quite heated, and Paul Pogba had to intervene and calm the coach.

Deschamps explained via Kicker: “He had muscular problems in his thigh, but he still wanted to play on, despite knowing that it would be difficult. It’s not enough to want to continue, you have to be able to do it. And two minutes later, he realized it was not possible!”

In the end, Coman had to leave the pitch injured. Hopefully, this won’t be a long break for the winger, but we are still waiting for the official medical statement.
