Like many observers of Germany’s 1-1- draw with Denmark, Joachim Löw came away from Wednesday’s match extremely impressed with rumored Bayern Munich transfer target Florian Neuhaus.
Neuhaus had Germany’s lone goal, but was creative and dangerous throughout the contest. The 24-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach star made the most of his opportunity filling in for more highly touted players like Leon Goretzka, İlkay Gündoğan, and Toni Kroos.
Goretzka is working his way back from an injury, while Kroos (COVID-19) and Gündoğan (rest after Manchester City’s Champions League loss to Chelsea) were not in the plans for Denmark.
“(Neuhaus) played a good game and did a lot of leg work. He also made his way back (defensively),” said Low (as captured by Tz). “It is important that the players do not let up and keep the pressure up. You have to drive the others with performance. Flo is a very good footballer with a good eye. I am very satisfied with him.”
