Joachim Löw knows games like the one Germany will play against England are really what football is built on.
“This is what being a coach is all about. This is my passion too; taking part in games like this. That’s how it’s been in the past and that’s how it will be tomorrow evening. I’m concentrating solely on the game,” said Löw (as captured by the DFB). “This is a fixture that captivates everyone. It’s an all-or-nothing game for both teams. The excitement goes without saying, and I can sense that every one of us is as motivated as is humanly possible.”
Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer has the same mindset as Löw. Neuer is fully expecting his teammates to leave everything they have out on the pitch at Wembley Stadium.
“We are highly motivated and are excited to play a knockout game,” Neuer said. “Every one of us will give everything to try and win this game.”
