Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller has yet to score during the Euros, but England is fully aware of what the Germany stalwart is capable of.
Going all the way back to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Müller scored a brace against England in Germany’s 4-1 victory. Even 11 years later, the Three Lions — and their fans — are wary of what Müller can do.
“It’s a beautiful thing for the media and public, you can always talk about the past and revel in memories, but it really doesn’t have anything to do with the game on Tuesday,” said Müller (as captured by The Mirror). “If the English really do feel I’m a ‘threat’ then I would love that to be true, but it really depends on what I’m doing on the pitch and less on the common history England and Germany share. It leads us nowhere if I tell my marker that I was good back in 2010, it won’t do any good.”
