Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry has become accustomed to being surrounded by talent on Säbener Straße.
Given how many stars are on the campus, Gnabry thinks he has become quite adept at recognizing young talent. When Jamal Musiala moved to Bayern Munich, Gnabry realized the youngster was a special player.
“He’s a great guy. His nickname ‘Bambi’ came from Leroy I think,” said Gnabry (as captured by Twitter account @MiaSanMia). “There is no doubt that his qualities are exceptional. As you could see against Hungary, he can help the team a lot. I am completely convinced of him. His time will come, no matter when.”
That time could come sooner rather than later is Germany needs the youngster against England. After a solid showing versus Hungary, there have been calls by fans and pundits alike for Joachim Löw to give Musiala more playing time.
After playing his U-21 international ball with England, seeing the youngster taking the field at Wembley Stadium would be something special to Gnabry — and everyone else.
