Germany have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Euro 2020 Round-of-16 tie against England. Per Bild, İlkay Gündoğan and Antonio Rüdiger have recovered from their respective injuries and reportedly participated in the final training session for Tuesday’s mouth-watering tie at Wembley.
After sustaining a bruised skull in the previous game against Hungary, Gündoğan had been dealing with a headache until yesterday. Although the Manchester City man is back and available, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is expected to replace him for the upcoming clash with The Three Lions. Having saved his nation from a shameful group stage elimination, Goretzka will pair up with Toni Kroos and inject some much-needed vigour into the German midfield.

Chelsea defender Rüdiger also missed Sunday’s training session with a cold. However, he will reportedly retain his left center-back position in Joachim Löw’s three-man backline.
The return of the English Premier League duo means all players except Lukas Klostermann are available for tomorrow’s game.
