According to Sport 1’s Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich II midfielder Nicolas Kühn is about to move to Erzgebirge Aue. The 21 year old will reportedly be transferring to Aue and signing a three year contract.
“Nicolas is a player we would like to sign,” Aue President Helge Leonhardt told Plettenberg. “We are convinced that he can develop into a strong player in the second division at Aue. We are in good talks with FC Bayern.”
Kühn just signed a three year contract with Bayern last summer from Ajax after a successful six month loan; however, being relegated from the 3.Liga has it’s consequences, and losing Kühn was always going to be on the table.
He made 37 appearances for Bayern II in those 18 months at the club scoring 6 goals and assisting on another 4 goals. Kühn didn’t look like he was going to make the jump to the first team at Bayern, and this move gives him playing time at a higher level.
