According to Sport 1 journalist Florian Plettenberg, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and a few English clubs have contacted Leon Goretzka, which has played a role in his contract negotiations taking a bit of a detour:

According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), the respective contract negotiations for Leon Goretzka and Niklas Süle have veered off the path of normalcy.
Goretzka’s deal was considered to being close to final, but apparently there have been a few snags in the process. In particular, it seems like Goretzka wants to be sure that the offer is right — especially because he has brought in a new agent and is drawing interest from other clubs. Goretzka’s current deal ends in 2022:

As for Süle, his situation when from extremely cloudy to potentially clear. With both sides feeling the pressure of working in a condensed timeframe, there is a possibility that the player and club could agree to a one-year extension, which would allow both parties to decide if they want to continue onward with a long-term deal:

Whatever happens, both players are extremely valuable commodities to Bayern Munich. A loss of either player would surely be felt on the roster.
