Could another English club be interested in Kingsley Coman?

With Manchester United reportedly getting closer to a deal with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, the market for Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman seems to have dried up.

Another English club, however, could be interested in luring the France international to the Premier League: Liverpool.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Jürgen Klopp’s club is keen on bringing Coman to Anfield:

Ending the contract in 2023, Bayern will have to sell (Coman) this summer since next year, it will be just one year from the end — so it will be difficult for them to get some value for him. This is where Liverpool wants to act as a mediator to get both parties out of a problem.

Zahavi has been knocking on doors in Europe and at Anfield they have shown interest in him. The problem is in the price that Bayern would ask for him. Liverpool would not be willing to pay more than 35 million for him, and the Germans want at least 50.

Coman for €35 million seems a tad low for such a young talent, but this is a COVID-19 financial world, so maybe Liverpool can make some headway?

Probably not.

Even €50 million seems a bit light for Coman, given the value that Bayern Munich places on the Frenchman.
