Matthäus slams Sane’s body language (Sky Germany)
Former Bayern Munich and Germany legend Lothar Matthäus is not a fan of what he sees from current Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.
Matthäus thinks Sane’s body language and lethargy in the pregame warmups is part of what has kept him out of the starting XI.
“Sane seems to have fallen behind again with (Joachim) Löw. I took a closer look at him while warming up and if you watch (Joshua) Kimmich before the game for comparison, it’s almost a different sport in terms of body language,” Matthäus said. “So maybe the national coach doesn’t like the attitude of the Bayern player again and that’s why others are currently being preferred. However, in my opinion, Leroy is the first candidate if Thomas Müller fails. Germany can absorb this loss against Hungary. In the longer term, it would be extremely important to have Thomas back on the field.”
Sanches back to Bayern? (@ManuelVeth)
There were some loose rumors floating about stating that Renato Sanches and Bayern Munich might be interested in a reunion. Here is Transfermarkt’s Manuel Veth commenting on the reports below:
Some rumours about Renato Sanches to return to #Bayern. It’s still in the early stages but, personally, based on his development I would love to see him back in Munich. It feels like unfinished business by both parties— Manuel Veth (@ManuelVeth) June 21, 2021
Sport Bild’s Christian Falk chimed in to deny the rumors:
No truth to the rumours that Bayern are considering bringing Renato Sanches back [@cfbayern]— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 21, 2021
Inter, Everton eyeing Dumfries (Transfer Market Web)
With Bayern Munich reportedly out of the mix, Inter Milan and Everton are reportedly going to compete for PSV Eindhoven’s Denzel Dumfries:
After the first rumors circulated in Italy, now confirmations also arrive from Holland.
According to Voetbal International, Inter would have seriously pursued Denzel Dumfries, right side of PSV and Holland. Dumfries’ contract with PSV expires in 2023, but he himself has made no secret of wanting a new adventure, so much so that the Eindhoven club has already secured the replacement (Phillipp Mwene from Mainz).
In addition to the Nerazzurri, Everton is also on Dumfries.
