Matthäus slams Sane’s body language (Sky Germany)

Former Bayern Munich and Germany legend Lothar Matthäus is not a fan of what he sees from current Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.

Matthäus thinks Sane’s body language and lethargy in the pregame warmups is part of what has kept him out of the starting XI.

“Sane seems to have fallen behind again with (Joachim) Löw. I took a closer look at him while warming up and if you watch (Joshua) Kimmich before the game for comparison, it’s almost a different sport in terms of body language,” Matthäus said. “So maybe the national coach doesn’t like the attitude of the Bayern player again and that’s why others are currently being preferred. However, in my opinion, Leroy is the first candidate if Thomas Müller fails. Germany can absorb this loss against Hungary. In the longer term, it would be extremely important to have Thomas back on the field.”

Dumfries’ contract with PSV expires in 2023, but he himself has made no secret of wanting a new adventure, so much so that the Eindhoven club has already secured the replacement (Phillipp Mwene from Mainz).

In addition to the Nerazzurri, Everton is also on Dumfries.
