Bayern Munich II won their first match of the preseason on Saturday, a 3-1 victory over VfR Garching. The match was the club’s first as they prep for their return to the Regionalliga Bayern after two years in the 3.Liga.
New signing Emilian Metu bagged his first goal for Bayern II in his first appearance. The young midfielder joined from St. Pölten for whom he made his professional debut for in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.

Torben Rhein scored from the spot, and Gabriel Vidovic late in the match to seal the victory.
It’s a great start for Bayern II’s preseason, as the club works to integrate a lot of young players with a few of the players who established themselves with the team in the 3.Liga last season.
Bayern II XI: Kainz - Stanisic, Marusic, Lawrence (73. Metu), Brückner - Rhein (81. Sieb), Metu (46. Mosandl) - Herrmann (46. Motika), Kühn (46. Vidovic) - Sieb (46. Hummel), Scott (46. Kabadayi)
