Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry worked with Julian Nagelsmann while on loan at Hoffenheim and knows that the new boss in Bavaria is an expert at developing his players.
“We met when I was still playing for Werder Bremen. Back then, he convinced me to go to TSG Hoffenheim instead of spending another year in Bremen,” said Gnabry in a recent interview with SPOX and Goal. “I developed very well under him. He is still very young, has a good drive and attaches great importance to small details. He’s someone who makes his players better. I am really looking forward to working with him again.”
When asked what he meant by the “little details”, Gnabry explained that Nagelsmann does not overlook anything and seeks to provide solutions for all areas of the game.
“He always gave us excellent tactics. He always wants to be well prepared in every training session and every match analysis,” Gnabry said. “We mostly trained the things that we didn’t do well in the previous game. Over and over again until we did better. Julian Nagelsmann is a motivated trainer who always gives 100 percent. And I get along very well with that because I always give everything.”
