Bayern Munich are set to ramp up their pursuit of on-loan FC Dallas defender Justin Che this week, according to a report from Steve Goff of the Washington Post. The Bavarians are set to travel to Texas on Monday to continue talks with the MLS club on the transfer of the centerback.
Che has impressed during his time in Munich, by all accounts. The 17 year old joined the club in the January transfer window on a loan through the end of the season and joined Bayern II on the training ground. After a period of adjustment to Germany, Che would played in the final eight games of the Bayern II season, starting six of them.
After seeing the success that Chris Richards has come into at Bayern (and Hoffenheim), Dallas are reportedly set to push for a higher transfer fee than the meager $1.5 million that Bayern paid for Richards.
Bayern Munich officials expected in Texas Monday to continue transfer talks for FC Dallas's Justin Che, a 17-year-old fullback who spent months on loan with Bundesliga giants. Che was in USMNT camp in Switzerland. FCD probably seeking >> the $1.5m it got for Chris Richards #mls
