Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will be watching the European Championships with great interest as a plethora of his club’s players are littered throughout rosters across the continent.
One of the players that Rummenigge is most looking forward to watching, however, is a member of the club’s German contingent: Thomas Müller.
“Thomas Müller will surprise everyone because he will bring attributes to the German team that have eluded them in recent months,” Rummenigge said in an interview with t-online. “Thomas is an important driver on the pitch, can prepare and execute perfectly, and also always creates a good atmosphere in the team off the pitch.”
Rummenigge also said that would love to see Müller be the tournament’s leading scorer.
“On the part of FC Bayern, I naturally hope that it will be Thomas Müller. He played an outstanding season for us, was not only a successful goal scorer, but also a perfect provider,” Rummenigge said. “And, of course, I also wish our top scorer Robert Lewandowski with the Polish team that he plays a good Euro and also scores many goals, because that is always his ambition.”
