According to a report from AS, former Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has received multiple offers ahead of the transfer window, but the soon-to-be free agent has not received one to make him jump right away.

Per AS, Athletic Bilbao — Martinez’s former club where most people expect him to land — submitted an offer to the 32-year-old, but the former Bayern Munich star did not deem it sufficient enough to sign a deal:

Athletic has risen early in his bid to sign Javi Martinez. But as often happens in these types of negotiations, the first proposal was insufficient — it was for two years and less than half of what he was making last season at Bayern Munich.

Certainly, if Martinez wants to go back to Atheltic Bilbao, the two sides will get a better feel for the figures needed to make it happen.

As for those other offers, Martinez has received interest from Abu Dhabi and Qatar per AS with a salary worth €7 million (net).
