After scoring a hat trick to help power Bayern Munich to a 6-0 thrashing of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Robert Lewandowski was all smiles.
The Polish Hitman was celebrating the club’s ninth consecutive Bundesliga title and also pushed himself to the brink of history: Lewandowski is just one goal away from tying Gerd Müller’s single-season goal scoring record.

“Of course it feels very good. What we showed today was a great game. It was the perfect time to show that we have rightly become German champions,” said Lewandowski (as captured by Tz).
At times, it looked like Lewandowski’s teammates were going above and beyond to get him the ball, but the skilled striker insisted he did not make any special requests.
“No, no. I don’t have that. If you want something too much, most of the time it won’t work anyway. If you play in a team-friendly way, you get your chances,” Lewandowski said. “I keep my foot on the gas. I want to give everything for my team. I am grateful that I received so many opportunities.”
