Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has had a historic run at the helm of Die Roten and holds no bitterness as he prepares to exit Bavaria in the coming weeks.
In fact, upon learning the official news of Bayern Munich hiring Julian Nagelsmann, Flick immediately reached out to the 34-year-old RB Leipzig manager to congratulate him and wish him well.

“I have an absolutely positive opinion of Julian Nagelsmann, he is a very good coach. I met him in Hoffenheim. He’s been a talented coach for as long as he’s been around” said Flick at his weekly press conference (as captured by Tz). “I wrote to him right after the announcement and congratulated him. I said: ‘Congratulations, you will have a lot of fun with the team’.”
When pressed by the media for more information, Flick did not bite and wanted to move on.
“These are things that don’t belong here now,” said Flick. “I want to concentrate on the game, I’ve already said everything to Julian.”
