Gunners also want Hakimi (Caught Offside)

There might be mutual interest between Bayern Munich and Achraf Hakimi, but Inter Milan is reluctant to let one of its prized players go. Arsenal, though, might be willing to throw enough cash at Inter to at least make them think about a move:

Arsenal are reportedly set to face competition from Bayern Munich for the transfer of Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi this summer. The Morocco international has had a superb season at the San Siro, playing a key role for Antonio Conte’s side as they ended Juventus’ long dominance in Serie A to win the title.

Hakimi’s fine form now seems to have attracted the interest of Bayern, according to TZ, with the former Borussia Dortmund man looking an ideal fit for the style of play of incoming new manager Julian Nagelsmann. Arsenal have also been linked with Hakimi by AS, who claimed he was a top priority target for the Gunners, but one imagines it could now be hard for the struggling north London outfit to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.

Inter Milan reportedly does not want to sell, but it would be interesting to see how the Italian club would react if Arsenal sent over a big money proposal.

ICYMI: Der Auslblick — Bayern vs. M’Gladbach (Bavarian Podcast Works)

If you missed our Der Ausblick episode, now is your chance to get a primer on the game. And here’s a little secret...I jumbled my intro five times — and cursed myself out more with each screw up. I should release the outtakes, so you can hear me call myself a moron in a NSFW way, but I don’t want to get canned just yet. Anyway, here you go:

Kramaric to join old coach Nagelsmann at Bayern? (Tz)

Andrej Kramaric was linked to Bayern Munich earlier this season and now those rumors could heat up again as Julian Nagelsmann takes over in Bavaria:

(Sebastian) Hoeneß finds Kramaric’s mental games, whose move this summer could bring a substantial transfer fee to the TSG box office, legitimate: “He won’t sign as many contracts anymore.” It’s probably true — and a man of Kramaric’s class should actually play in Europe. Why shouldn’t he do that under his former coach Julian Nagelsmann in Munich? After all, Bayern are always looking for reinforcements. On the other hand: Bayern have probably already looted their transfer fund for this summer and the Croat should not be too cheap. So it would probably need a high level of persuasion on the part of the record champions.

In the remaining three games of the season, Kramaric can immortalize himself in the club’s history: With currently 17 hits, he is chasing the club record of Vedad Ibisevic, who scored 18 times in the first half of the Bundesliga season for Hoffenheim in 2008/2009, but then with a cruciate ligament rupture failed.

Report: Gulacsi rejects BVB, re-ups with Leipzig (kicker)

Peter Gulacsi has reportedly extended his contract to RB Leipzig through 2025:

The contract with the 31-year-old Hungary, dated until 2023, will be extended to 2025. At the same time, the release clause, according to which Gulacsi could have changed for 13 million euros, is deleted. “Bild” reported about it first. In addition to Gulacsi, goalkeeping coach Frederik Gößling will remain long-term and extended until 2026.

Sport Bild also chimed in and said Gulacsi turned down Borussia Dortmund to extend his deal with Die Roten Bullen.

Salah on Chelsea’s shortlist (@cfbayern)

Apparently, Liverpool star Mo Salah is on Chelsea’s wish-list, along with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku:

Interestingly, Sport Bild’s Christian Falk did not add Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski to that list, though we’ve already Chelsea is in on the Polish Hitman.

Hoeneß has some job security for now with Hoffenheim (kicker)

Sebastian Hoeneß has had a bit of an up-and-down season in his campaign at the helm of Hoffenheim, but he has done enough to warrant a return:

Sebastian Hoeneß doesn’t have to worry about his job at TSG Hoffenheim. “The direction with which coach we are going into the new season is completely clear and the club management decided unanimously: with Sebastian Hoeneß,” said Alexander Rosen, director of professional football at TSG, the “Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung.” Hoeneß “went through the many crises that had to be managed in a stable manner, communicates great with the guys, has an idea that we recently saw against Gladbach and Freiburg.” TSG recently scored four points in these two games.

Inter eyeing Kostic? (Transfer Market Web)

Filip Kostic has been one of the most underrated and under-appreciated players in the Bundesliga — if not Europe — for years and it looks like the champions of Italy have taken notice:

Standing out from Eintracht Frankfurt ranks since 2018/19, Serbian international wide midfielder/winger Filip Kostic (28) is growing again into a major target for Inter Milan. Currently on a deal with German club until June 2023, former Stuttgart and Groningen lefty is allegedly worth 26 million euros.

Kostic would be a PERFECT fit at Bayern Munich, but it will likely never happen.
