Not this again! The latest reports from Germany suggest that football agent Pini Zahavi is working on a transfer for his Polish client — Robert Lewandowski. After yet another extremely successful season for Lewandowski, several teams are interested in bringing the striker.

Lewandowski’s contract situation at Bayern Munich is clear. His contract runs to 2023, and the Bavarians aren’t willing to negotiate a new deal.

According to Sport Bild, Pini Zahavi is prepared to push for a transfer, as Premier League clubs are willing to pay big for the Polish striker. But, if Bayern’s board doesn’t want to lose Lewandowski the same way they lost David Alaba, they might be forced to talk with Zahavi.

Lewandowski and Bayern have three choices. Option one is that they agree on a new contract, and Lewandowski ends his career at Munich or tries his luck elsewhere at the twilight of his career. Option two is that Lewandowski fulfills his contract, which runs until 2023, and then leaves as a free agent. And the last option is that Bayern listens to offers for the striker.

All of this is likely a negotiating ploy to get the Poland international a new and improved contract. In all likelihood, Bayern Munich will not let one of their best players and most important players leave while playing at this level.

Manchester United and Chelsea are among the Premier League squads who have already been linked to having interest in Lewandowski.
