According to a report from Bild, rumored Bayern Munich target Florian Neuhaus is committing to playing another season with Borussia Mönchengladbach under new manager Adi Hütter.
Neuhaus, who has been closely linked to both Bayern Munich and Liverpool, is an integral component of the M’Gladbach squad and should be a boost to Hütter’s objectives for at least one more season:
The midfield star Florian Neuhaus (24), courted by many top clubs, including Liverpool FC with coach Jürgen Klopp (53), sees his future in Gladbach at least until 2022. So Hütter can plan with the national player’s yes-word!
Neuhaus recently intimated that this decision was coming as well.
“Borussia is a club where I was able to develop excellently and where I have everything. I know what I have with Gladbach,” said Neuhaus, as captured by Bild. “Of course, I also read that there is a lot of speculation. But I don’t see my future as open as many others.”
Per Bild, the only way Neuhaus will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach is if another club comes through with an offer “well beyond €40 million” — which is the amount of Neuhaus’ exit clause.
That does not seem likely to happen this summer given some of the financial constraints teams are facing due to COVID-19.
As for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Die Fohlen is expecting big things next season even if a few players opt to leave.
“We are in contact with all the players. Yes, players will leave us after this season,” said sporting director Max Eberl. “But nobody has to worry that we won’t have a very competitive team again.”
