Sky reporter Torben Hoffmann captured video this morning of Bayern Munich’s Niklas Süle putting in an extra training session with Malik Tillman and Lukas Schneller under the guidance of Dr. Holger Broich at Säbener Straße.
Normally, this would be an uneventful bit of news, but Süle has been grilled of late by Bild for being out of shape:

Süle has come under fire of late for his fitness once again, but this criticism comes on the heels of what was a very solid season for the big man — who was coming off of a major knee injury. The old adage of “not really being healthy until year two” after an ACL tear could come into play for Süle, but he managed “year one” in about as good a way as possible.
There were certainly some rocky moments where Süle did not look 100% over the course of the season, but overall he was good. Those periods of not feeling “great”, “confident, or “fit” are totally expected during the recovery for a knee injury.
Some people think Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso is still battling at least some after-effects almost two years after he suffered a similar injury.
Regardless, it is good to see Süle embracing the grind.
