Report: Manchester United submits offer to Kingsley Coman, but Bayern Munich likely won’t sell

Can Manchester United find a way to lure Kingsley Coman to England?

According to a report from The Sunday Express, Manchester United has already submitted a financial proposal to Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

Coman, who is allegedly looking for a steep pay raise, might be enticed by such a lucrative offer:

Manchester United have reportedly made an offer to sign Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already made it clear that he wants to bolster his squad before the start of next season.

The France international wants a payrise on his £200,000-a-week deal with Munich supposedly reluctant to meet those demands. United though are said to have made contact with Coman to let him know that they’d be willing to pay him what he wants. But Bayern reportedly don’t feel any need to rush discussions with Coman as he currently has two years left on his deal.

One obstacle standing between Coman and such a deal is his current club, Bayern Munich.

According to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, there is no chance that the Bavarians will sell off the talented, young Frenchman, who was arguably the club’s best wing over the course of the season:

With his deal set to expire in 2023, Coman could wait a while before Bayern Munich addresses his situation. The Bavarians have several other key players on deals that expire in 2022 and 2023, so time at the negotiating table might be hard to come by.
