When Marc Roca transferred to Bayern Munich, the talented, young midfielder was looking to beat a club where he could develop and help his game evolve.
Specifically, Roca was looking for examples of players who he could model himself after...and it was not hard to find a few stellar role models.
When Roca was recently asked who he looked up to, the answer was quick and easy.

“Xabi Alonso. As a player, he interpreted all aspects of the game, be it offensive or defensive, to perfection,” said Roca to AS (as captured by Tz).
Roca, however, can also find a current Bayern Munich player to mentor him — Joshua Kimmich.
“I see Joshua Kimmich as a role model. His mentality, character and day-to-day work show what a great leader he is,” Roca said. “We’re competing for the same position, but he supported and respected me from day one. I appreciate him very much for that. One day, I would like to be a leader like him.”
