Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller is finally back in Germany’s national team. After a sublime season-and-a-half under coach Hansi Flick, Joachim Low finally made the correct decision — to call up der Raumdeuter for the European championship.
Germany’s coach relieved Muller, Jerome Boateng, and Mats Hummels from their national team duties, but now we saw a change of mind. He called up Muller and Hummels, and Germany will surely benefit from their presence on and off the pitch.
According to Sport Bild’s sources, Low and Muller talked over the phone two times, and everything was set very quickly, as Muller agreed to rejoin the national team. Low will surely rely on Muller’s experience, but he is also counting on Muller to be one of the leaders for the players.
We witnessed how Muller affects the team’s pressing and energy for Bayern under Flick, and Jogi Low expects the same from Muller when he plays for Germany.
Muller is already considered a Bavarian football legend, and fans worldwide are excited to see him play in Germany’s jersey again. We’re all looking forward to seeing him play, probably one of the last national competitions of his career.
