The front office movement at Bayern Munich might not be limited to Oliver Kahn officially taking over in 2022.
According to a report from Tz, Bayern Munich is considering promoting chief scout Marco Neppe to technical director. The move for Neppe would represent the chance for the Bavarians to take some of the responsibilities off of sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic:
Unlike ex-President Hoeneß, the head of the club, Hainer, was not a professional player himself. That is why he lacks football expertise to a certain extent, but he compensates for this with his enormous economic expertise, with which he is always at the side of the new management duo with advice and action.
That is one reason why Salihamidzic will have even more overall sporting responsibility in the future. No wonder that the club is still considering promoting chief scout Marco Neppe to technical director in order to distribute Salihamidzic’s tasks over several shoulders.
In essence, Salihamidizic is going to fill Uli Hoeness’ old role on the sporting side, while Hainer will be more focused on financial matters.
