Jerome Boateng’s contract at Bayern Munich is going to expire this summer, and the Bavarian club has decided not to extend it. With a good season-and-a-half behind him, many teams will be interested in the services of the veteran defender.
One of the teams that were supposedly interested in Jerome Boateng was Monaco, whose head coach is Bayern’s former manager — Niko Kovač. But now, according to Christian Falk, the rumored is marked as ‘not TRUE’ and we still have to see where Boateng’s future lays.
NOT TRUE ❌ is that @AS_Monaco is interested in @JeromeBoateng @SPORTBILD

It is completely understandable why this rumor is false. When Niko Kovač was Bayern’s manager, he and Boateng never had an especially good relationship.
Reportedly, Jerome Boateng doesn’t lack suitors, as he has received offers from Tottenham Hotspur and some teams in MLS. Juventus and Inter Milan were interested in the player last year, so they might try to bring him in as a free agent this summer.
