Bayern Munich loanee, Michael Cuisance has reportedly left Olympique Marseille and has already returned to Germany. The 21-year old Frenchman was loaned out from Bayern to Marseille this season in a deal that included a purchase option of €18 million, which obviously will not be activated. In his time in France this season, Cuisance scored two goals in 23 appearances — only 11 of which were starts.
Reports state that Marseille coach Jorge Sampaoli has decided to not include Cuisance in the last few matches of the Ligue 1 season. Apparently, Cuisance has annoyed his teammates and the coaching staff by being “too individualistic” in training. Media in France has also been underwhelmed by the young Frenchman this season. One pundit noted that “there is a problem of mentality with this player” while another stated that, “there is an athletic problem, he was not able to hold a match, it is not normal for a player to be so cooked after ten minutes of play.”
Needless to say, Cuisance did not impress in his time playing in his native France. With his contract at Bayern running until Summer 2024, the question now remains — what will Bayern do with him? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
