According to a report from Bild, Germany manager Joachim Löw has decided to recall Thomas Müller to the national team:
According to BILD information, it is now fixed: National coach Jogi Löw (61) will bring world champion Thomas Müller (31) back to the national team on Wednesday when the EM squad is officially announced. BILD recently reported on a phone call between Löw and Müller in which the old and future national player had received positive signals from the national coach for a DFB return. In March 2019, Löw had sorted out Müller together with the world champions Mats Hummels (31) and Jerome Boateng (32). Hummels can also hope for a comeback, at Boateng the DFB decisions against a return are said to have failed.
The move was first leaked last week, but now it appears to have solidified with Bild’s latest report. Interestingly, it looks like Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels could also return, but Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng could be left off the squad.
Regardless, Löw will announce his team on Wednesday and everyone will know which players will make the Euro 2020 roster.
