With Joachim Löw watching from the stands as Bayern Munich earned a 2-2 draw with SC Freiburg, there was a lot of speculation that Germany’s manager would be using this opportunity to take one last look at a few players before selecting his roster for the European Championships.
With Löw’s 26-man squad expected to be released on Wednesday, many fans are anticipating the return of Thomas Müller to the German national team. Müller, however, is not going to speculate on the subject or even let anyone know what a recall would mean to him.
“I won’t reveal my feelings. We are still in the quarantine training camp for the week and I will follow the nominations, but you will not get anything from me here,” joked Müller (as captured by Tz).
Müller, of course, has proven he is one of the best — if not the best — German players in the game today repeatedly after first being cut from the squad in 2019.
