With Robert Lewandowski on the cusp of breaking Gerd Müller’s Bundesliga goal scoring record, many were curious to see if Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick might have a few tricks up his sleeve to help the Polish Hitman push past the mark.
Flick, however, does not think that the Bavarians need to do anything, but execute the game plan they were given — which does not include any extra focus on Lewandowski.

“I have already said that the team will implement what we set out to do, then Lewy will also benefit from it,” Flick said (as captured by Tz). “You saw against Gladbach that the players are looking for him and support him. Lewy has also has set up a goal, it’s a give and take.”
Of course, Bayern Munich’s players are keenly aware of what it at stake. With the league title already wrapped up, it is not easy to think the some of Lewandowski’s teammates might tale it upon themselves to see if they can help push the Poland international over the mark.
