Per an announcement on the club website, Bayern Munich has extended the contract of Jamie Lawrence through the 2024 season:
A true Munich kid is staying with FC Bayern. Amateurs defensive hero Jamie Lawrence has committed himself to the German record champions for the long-term and extended his contract early until June 30, 2024. His original contract was set to expire in June 2022.
Bayern Munich campus director Jochen Sauer was happy to get a deal done with the promising young defender.
“Jamie has continuously developed during the current third-division season and has become a permanent fixture in our U23s. We are very pleased that he also sees his future at FC Bayern in the coming years. We are convinced of his further development potential,” said Sauer.
Lawrence was relieved to get a little more stability and is looking forward to proving himself further on Säbener Straße.
“Munich is my city and FC Bayern is my club, I feel at home here. That’s also why I signed this long-term contract. I’m immensely happy to be able to take the next steps here and I’m proud to continue wearing the Bayern jersey,” Lawrence said.
