Bavarian Podcast Works celebrates two years and 200,000 downloads

I’m still surprised every day by the success we’ve had over the last two years. Thank you all.

When we started this podcast back in April of 2019, I remember hoping that by May 2020, when I graduated, that we’d be able to hit 50,000 downloads.

When we blew that out of the water in October, I knew we were on track to be one of the best Bayern Munich podcasts in the world.

And here we are about 150,000 downloads later. It’s an even more unbelievable feat.

We’ve brought in so many amazing people over the last two years: from our first guest, Derek Rae, to Gotham FC player Gina Lewandowski, to other media personalities like Phil Bonney, Raphael Honigstein, Luis Miguel Echegaray, Cesar Hernandez, and Archie Rhind-Tutt.

I usually take the time to thank a number of people in these pieces, but I plan on saving that for later. We’re going to do a celebration episode soon - for both the milestone and for our second birthday - so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

But for now, just know that we’re extremely humbled and grateful for your endless support and dedication. We’ll keep striving to give you the best content possible for you to enjoy - and more of that will be coming soon.

We have some big plans for the short and medium term future. We’re hoping to bring in more new voices and have a big project for Euro 2021 for you all to enjoy.

Until then, thank you for listening. I’m forever grateful.
