COVID-19 is creating issues for German players everywhere.
After Jonas Hofmann (positive test) and Marcel Halstenberg (exposure) were sidelined from international duty with Germany during the last international break, Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry was hit with a positive test, which will prevent him from playing against Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, Germany Frauen star Dzsenifer Marozsan is also sidelined due to positive tests on her Olympique Lyon club squad. Marozsan has not tested positive, but is being held out as a precaution:
ℹ️ Following positive Covid-19 test results within the Olympique Lyon squad, Dzsenifer #Marozsan will not be joining up with the @DFB_Frauen, even after the completion of a mandatory seven-day quarantine.

Marozsan, an integral piece to Germany for more than a decade, will be out of action for seven days as she quarantines. At 28-years-old, Marozsan has been with Germany’s senior team since 2010 and has been one of the most impactful and influential players during her tenure.
Instead of Marozsan joining Germany late, DFB Frauen manager Martina Voss-Tecklenburg made the decision to have the midfielder stay in France rather than risk traveling.
