Injuries are an unfortunate part of any game at the professional level and ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s upcoming Champions League tie with Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappe echoed those sentiments.
Mbappe admitted that Lewandowski’s absence does present an advantage for his squad, but does not think the Bavarians will be any less challenging even without their star striker.
“Of course, we’re not going to be choosy, he’s a great player for them,” Mbappe said to Telefoot (as captured by PSGTalk.com). “This is good news for us, even if I don’t like to be happy about other people’s injuries. It’s a great team, there are only great teams in the Champions League even if Bayern are among the favorites. We are going to go there, we do not have to be ashamed, we will play with our qualities and we will see how far it will take us.”
Mbappe clearly remembers last season’s Champions League finale and knows that Bayern Munich is much more than just its wonderful number 9.
