Goretzka’s current deal ends in 2022 and it appears that both sides of negotiating table want to get a deal done to keep the player now known as “Scoretzka” in Bavaria for the long-term:
According to information from SPOX and Goal, the national player is already in advanced talks with the German record champions. Nothing is currently known about the duration of the new contract.
Goretzka addressed the rumors and acknowledged that he has a fondness for Bayern Munich. Goretzka also appreciates how he has developed in Bavaria since joining the club in 2018.
“I feel very comfortable here. Bavaria has helped me a lot in the last few years to take the next step,” said Goretzka on ZDF Sports Studio (as captured by Spox and Goal). “So the tendency is clearly towards Bayern.”
Many Bayern Munich fans will be happy with that news — but even happier when the club releases the token “signing day” tweet with Goretzka holding up a jersey listing what year his new deal will end.
